PETCiNEMATARY:
THiNGS TO COME & ELLE

EPiSODE 31.

"There is nothing so dear to me as for all eternity."

It's two for the price of one on this episode! Our own Christopher Funderberg joins host Wendy Mays as they look back on 2016, a big year for films featuring both cats and Isabelle Huppert.

The duo tackles Things to Come (dir. Mia Hansen-Løve) in which a passionate middle-aged philosophy professor played by Isabelle Huppert rethinks her already much-examined life after an unforeseen divorce. Funderburg firmly believes the film to be a super-bummer while Mays finds it to be hopeful.

That discussions is followed by a look at Paul Verhoen's Elle, a film featuing Huppert as a successful CEO of a video game company attempting to discover the identity of the man who raped her.

This episode's shelter shout-out goes to Korean K9 Rescue! Go show them some love, if you have any love left in your heart at all after this emotionally grueling episode.
