EPISODE 54: Once More with Feeling.
The Pink Smoke’s John Cribbs and Christopher Funderburg recently appeared on the Hellbent for Horror podcast with host S.A. Bradley to memorialize the recently deceased soft-spoken Texas weirdo Tobe Hooper, director of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Salem's Lot and Poltergeist.
In this episode they dig into some of the filmmaker's more overlooked and underappreaciated work, including Djinn, I'm Dangerous Tonight and Invaders from Mars. Hooper remains a director with great personal meaning for Funderburg and Cribbs, so they jumped at Bradley's invitation to discuss this frequently maligned artist whose work helped define the modern horror genre but also could never be comfortably contained within it.
